Terms of Service

§ 1 — Definitions

• "Service" means the MRT Trading Journal web application at mrtjournal.com, including all features, AI coaching, analytics, and educational content.
• "Account" means a registered user account created to access the Service.
• "User" or "You" means any individual who registers for or uses the Service.
• "Operator" means the individual or entity operating MRT Trading Journal, contactable at mrtbusinesscorp@gmail.com.
• "User Content" means any trade data, notes, screenshots, or other information you submit.

§ 2 — Acceptance of Terms

• By creating an Account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
• If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
• These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Operator.

§ 3 — Account Registration

• To access the Service you must register with a valid email address, name, and password.
• You must not create an Account using false information. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information provided.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Notify us immediately at mrtbusinesscorp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

§ 4 — The Service

4.1 Description

• Trade logging: record, annotate, and review your trading activity.
• Performance analytics: win rate, profit factor, expectancy, mistake tracking.
• AI coaching: personalised feedback based on your trade data (powered by Claude / Anthropic).
• Strategy Builder: document and evaluate trading strategies.
• Education Hub: trading content adapted to your experience level.

4.2 No Financial Advice

MRT is not a financial adviser, broker, or any form of regulated financial service. The AI coaching feature and all analytical outputs are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute investment advice. You must not rely on any content from the Service as a basis for financial decisions.

4.3 Availability

• We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
• We may perform maintenance or updates at any time. We will endeavour to provide advance notice.
• We are not liable for any losses arising from unavailability of the Service.

§ 5 — Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other user accounts.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code of the Service.
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service by automated means.
• Share your Account credentials with any third party.
• Use the AI Coach to generate financial advice for third parties commercially.
• Transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or infringes third-party rights.

§ 6 — Your Content

• You retain full ownership of all User Content you submit to the Service.
• By submitting User Content, you grant the Operator a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your User Content.
• You may export or delete your User Content at any time from the Settings section.

§ 7 — Subscriptions and Payments

• A 7-day free trial is available on all plans. No credit card required to start.
• After the trial, plans are billed monthly: Pro at $9.99/month, Elite at $24.99/month.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel at any time; access continues until end of billing period.
• All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc., subject to their Terms of Service.
• We may modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

§ 8 — Cancellation and Withdrawal

• You may close your Account at any time from the Settings section.
• Upon closure, all personal data and User Content will be deleted within 30 days.
• EU consumers have the right to withdraw from any paid contract within 14 days of purchase, except where digital content delivery has already begun with your express consent. Contact mrtbusinesscorp@gmail.com to exercise this right.
• Applicable refunds will be processed within 14 days using the original payment method.

§ 9 — Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim.

The Operator is not liable for:

• Any trading losses — all trading decisions are your own.
• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• Data loss beyond what can be recovered from backup systems.
• Unavailability of third-party services (Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, Vercel).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

§ 10 — Intellectual Property

• The Service, its design, source code, and all content created by the Operator (excluding your User Content) are the intellectual property of MRT Trading Journal.
• You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the Service without prior written permission.

§ 11 — Privacy and Data Protection

The Operator processes your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. For data protection enquiries: mrtbusinesscorp@gmail.com.

§ 12 — Changes to These Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email and in-app of any material changes with 30 days' notice.
• Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance.

§ 13 — Governing Law and Disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of England and Wales, unless applicable mandatory law requires otherwise.
• EU consumers may use the European Commission's ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
